What is (and isn't) removed

Removed: Author, Title, Subject, Keywords, Creator/Producer strings, and creation/modification dates (reset).

Not removed: page text, comments, tracked changes flattened into the PDF, embedded attachments, or watermarks. Those need proper redaction tools.

Common questions

Does this redact names inside the document?

No. It only scrubs metadata properties. Search the visible pages for names, phone numbers, and IDs yourself.

Is the file still a valid PDF?
