HEIC vs JPEG on iPhone

HEIC files are smaller but less compatible; the tool converts them to JPEG locally before cleaning. If you shoot “Most Compatible”, your files are already JPEG and clean losslessly.

Live Photos, bursts, and Portrait depth data are outside still-photo metadata scope — export a still frame first for sensitive shares.

Common questions

Does converting HEIC to JPG remove metadata by itself?

Not reliably — converters often carry EXIF across. This tool converts then verifies removal, so you get proof.

Will cleaning affect Live Photos?

Upload the exported still (JPG/HEIC). The video component of a Live Photo isn't processed here.
